The heart and soul of On Your Birthday is its partnership with sponsoring childrens' charities. These charities work tirelessly every day to fulfill their missions in service to children. By becoming an OYB partner, these charities add a new dimension to their service to children – a birthday gift for every child in need of good cheer.

Childrens' charities sponsor the children in need of birthday gifts. The partnership with children’s charities is mutually beneficial to On Your Birthday and the individual charity. Through this partnership, On Your Birthday has a way to identify and qualify children in need. On Your Birthday, in turn, provides the charity with gifts for the children they serve, new donors, and national exposure.

Traditionally when a giver donates to a charity the funds are designated where they are needed the most. On Your Birthday helps a donor form a direct personal connection with a child and the sponsoring charity. By learning about a particular charity and what they do for the children they serve, a donor also may choose to give an additional contribution to the charity.

Importantly, On Your Birthday guarantees privacy and protection for the children, the donors and participating charities. Each charity has control of its own secure section of OnYourBirthday.org to make updates or to review account activity, gifts fulfilled and donations received.

You can become an On Your Birthday charity participant. For a modest fee, On Your Birthday will
  • Find donors who will pay for the birthday gift ($30 per child) for your children.

  • Provide a way for those same donors to give an additional donation to your charity to support the work you do every day on behalf of these children.

  • Administer the program so that the gift is sent directly to the child on your behalf or so that your program workers can deliver the gifts themselves.

  • You will become part of a community of charities and individuals who share the same commitment to serving children.  Donors will buy gifts for the children you serve.

  • On Your Birthday administers the program, finds donors to buy the birthday gifts, and assures that the children you sponsor receive the gifts.

  • You will have the opportunity to introduce your mission and children to new audiences who are willing to help.  Your charity will receive national exposure – taking your mission and message to hundreds of thousands of potential donors.

  • Your charity will have the opportunity to receive additional donations.  Donors will be one click away from making a donation directly to your charity.

  • You will receive administrative and marketing support from On Your Birthday, assuring the delivery of a quality program to your charity.

  • Your children are guaranteed privacy and protection.  You will control your own secure section of OnYourBirthday.org to make updates or to review account activity, gifts fulfilled and donations received.

  • Your participation is low cost.  Write to us for details.

  • OYB incorporates the expenses associated with the gifts, including packaging and postage, into the tax-deductible gift given by the donor. OYB deducts the expenses associated with receiving the donations (like PayPal and accounting) prior to transmitting funds to the charity.
